Black & White Photo Challenge: Texture

I just recently discovered Sonel’s Corner a great photography blog to check out. Sonel has lots of fun weekly photo challenges to participate in as well! I encourage you to have a look and try a few out, I know I’m excited to :). I really LOVE black & white photography – there is something so timeless and classic about it, it’s beautiful in its simplicity and can often express more feeling and mood than color photography! So you can imagine how psyched I was to discover the B&W weekly Photo Challenge! This week’s challenge is Texture – a great place to start with Black & White photography! Texture can sometimes be seen better in Black & White – it removes distractions and allows the eye to see shape, contrast and texture more defined. Here are some of my favorite shots in B&W showing texture:

So those are my submissions for the Black & White Challenge! Can’t wait to have a go at the next one πŸ™‚ It’s always good to change perspectives in photography and try and view things differently – you never know what it will inspire! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by.
